Corrosion Protective Finish

  GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 RIE 4606 is a thermosetting epoxy coating containing a pigmented system of aluminum flake and PTFE, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and lubrication.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

 *  Components that require corrosion protection and torque-N-tension values.

                        *  RIE 4606 prevents bimetal corrosion between stainless and aluminum.

*  Common applications include fasteners, clips, springs, stampings and sheet steel.

APPLICATION

       RIE 4606 is applied using any standard liquid coating’s application technique.  Common techniques include dip/spin, coil coated and spray (conventional or electrostatic).

* Salt Spray per ASTM B-117:            200 Hrs. to white corrosion

                                                                                                     500 Hrs. to red corrosion

Friction Factor (K):  0.11 to 0.15

Resistant to all automotive fuels.

* When applied over a zinc basecoat or zinc plating.
