GENERAL DESCRIPTION

RIE 4010 is a thermo-set coating containing a pigmented system of aluminum flake and PTFE, excellent bimetal corrosion protection and lubrication, provides a zinc & clear appearance.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

* Components that require corrosion protection and bright silver aesthetics.

* Common applications include fasteners, clips, springs, stampings and sheet steel.

* Protection for high strength fasteners, 4010 does not induce hydrogen.

APPLICATION

RIE 4010 is applied using any standard liquid coating’s application technique. Common techniques include dip/spin, coil coated and spray (conventional or electrostatic).

PERFORMANCE

* Salt Spray per ASTM B-117: 200 Hrs. to white corrosion

1000 Hrs. to red corrosion

* When applied over a zinc basecoat or zinc plating.
