“RIE 1713”

Clear Dry Film Lubricant

“RIE 1713” is a proprietary formulation for applying a dry lubricating film to threaded computer fasteners. The object of this lubrication is to decrease the coefficient of friction on coated parts and to control the tension obtainable with a given torque upon assembly. For best results you should coat all parts involved in the clamping process (bolt, washers and nut).

Features and lubricant film properties:

Water soluble, non- toxic, and will not out gas.

The lubricating film decreases the coefficient of friction and is dry (non tacky ), non-evaporating, colorless to milky white, and will remain  on the parts indefinitely until ready for use, provided the parts are protected against high humidity. The coating will neither add to nor detract from the protective value of the plated finish.

The percentage of lubricant can be adjusted to obtain clamping load at a desired torque. We have basic percentages that we use in different applications but can test and develop concentrations to suite the customers’ application.
